FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Most plastic surgery procedures are not covered by insurance unless they are considered medically necessary. Some procedures that may be covered by insurance include:
Reconstructive Surgery: If you have suffered from an injury or have a birth defect that affects your physical function or appearance.
Breast Reduction: If you have large breasts that cause pain and discomfort, a breast reduction may be medically necessary.
Eyelid Surgery: If you have drooping eyelids that affect your vision, a blepharoplasty may be medically necessary.
Nose Surgery: If you have a deviated septum or other breathing problems, a rhinoplasty may be considered medically necessary.
Some patients with Health Savings Accounts (HSA) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) may use the funds in their account to pay for eligible medical expenses, including some cosmetic procedures that are deemed medically necessary. While not all procedures are eligible for HSA or FSA reimbursement, checking with your account provider and the IRS guidelines can help patients determine which expenses are qualified for coverage.
CAPS is proud to have financial partners who offer zero interest or low interest rates. This allows our patients to be able to borrow money and access credit who may not otherwise be able to afford it.
If you have a bad credit history you may still be able to qualify for financing. However, higher interest rates may be required. There are also other ways to pay for your elective plastic surgery that don’t consider your credit score such as payment plans and personal savings.
If you are unable to make your payments, you should contact the financing company or lender as soon as possible. They may be able to work with you to create a new payment plan or defer your payments for a period of time.
